Scaponia Park is a secluded 7-acre county campground with a stream and hiking opportunities on the CZ Trail.

Hiking: In the middle of the 22-mile CZ Trail

Camping: 12 first-come first-serve tent sites. Call parks office at 503-397-2353 for current prices.

    1. I’m not sure. I’ve seen dippers in several places along Scappoose Creek on the east side of Scappoose-Vernonia Highway, but I can’t remember seeing them on the East Fork Nehalem River over there on the west side where Scaponia Park is.
